The Alta Peruvian Lodge is a smoke free property located next to the Alta ski area, and offers all-inclusive lodging and meal packages. Just a short drive from the hotel is Snowbird Resort, and 29 miles from Salt Lake City. The lodge offers 24-hour front desk, ATM banking, daily maid service, and airport transportation for an additional charge. A video library, safety deposit boxes, and concierge service is available. A complimentary shuttle van serves nearby Alta ski area, and free public transportation to Snowbird ski area stops just in front of the lodge. The gift shop sells mountain merchandise. Massages are available as well as a video game arcade, board games, and table tennis. Wireless Internet access is available in the lobby. Guests can end the day around the fireplace enjoying complimentary fresh-baked treats and appetizers, or relax in the pool or spa tub. For dining needs, the Alta Peruvian Lodge Restaurant has floor-to-ceiling glass terrace facing the slopes, stunning mountain views accompany bountiful breakfast and lunch buffets and large-portion dinners. Rustic, with exposed beams and large wooden furnishings, yet refined, with white linen tablecloths, the restaurant offers family-style dining. Saturday night's Grand Buffets are particularly popular, as is the piano entertainment. Box lunches can be taken for the day's adventure. Guests can also enjoy the Alta Peruvian Lodge Bar that's outfitted in red leather and wood. This Western-theme lounge upstairs is open evenings for complimentary appetizers and après ski conversation with the locals.
